With a final firm tug of the string to ensure it was properly fastened, Vertebrae stepped back and admired her newest bone assortment. They were in a peculiar arrangement but one that seemed to satisfy the clown. With a wide grin she turned to the small bird watching her from his perch nearby. Curiosity present in his wide unblinking red eyes as it looked at the hodgepodge of remains. 

“Ok it’s done!” Vertebrae stretched both hands toward her creation. Nodding the bird hopped down from its perch and onto the table for a closer inspection. 

“Go on, do it! It has to work, it’s perfect!” Glancing at Vertebrae Scythe showed none of her excitement but still gave a slight nod before lunging toward Vertebrae as he shifted into his weapon form. 

Quick hands caught his handle with ease and the jester waited patiently. It didn’t take long after the transformation before they made their appearance. Soft hues of blue and green lights shimmered faintly nearby as the hidden lost souls emerged in the presence of Scythe’s true form. 

They often tucked themselves into various nooks and crannies as they waited patiently for their turn to be reaped. With a quick twirl of the weapon’s staff Vertebrae easily hooked one of the souls that approached and in the same motion flung the spirit toward her creation. 

As the soul merged with the bones she watched wide eyed. Her hold on Scythe tightening as the pile on the table rattled softly. Releasing Scythe the weapon returned to its avian form and the duo approached the mass of bones as it slowly twitched and gained reanimation. 

The process was slow but seemed promising at least to the jester. The grim’s tool started at the abomination with doubt and uncertainty. 

Blue light shone in the once empty socket of the once feline skull. The signs of life, or at least what Vertebrae believed as she clapped her hands excited and encouraged her creation. 

“Yes yes yes! Wake mijo! wake up!” The bones shifted as the creature struggled to find its footing, trembling on the awkward appendages it now had. Its loosely hanging head turned this way and that, seeming to grow more and more desperate as its consciousness grew. 

There was a strange strangled ghastly noise emanating from it now, as it attempted to communicate with no voice. The cautions movements now erratic as it seemed to panic with its increasing awareness. 

No more was Vertebrae excited; her smile had vanished as she watched her beloved family tremble and shake. It was unhappy, but…how? She’d listened and she'd followed the order of the bones. Why wasn’t this working? 

Carefully she reached out, her pale hand stroking the frantic skull head as gently as she could. 

“Estas bien mijo, estoy aqui.” She attempted to comfort but the creature lashed out at her touch. Gnashing its teeth and a strangled screech tearing from its permanently open maw. A voice so different from the she’d heard that had guided her. Pulling away she watched as the frantic creature lashed out more, flailing its limbs as it struggled with itself. 

Tears broke free and Vertebrae waved to Scythe. She couldn’t watch this anymore, she had to stop it. This wasn’t right.

Scythe quickly stepped forward and slashed his sharp beak across the bone monstrosity's skull. The blade seemed to swipe through it as it hooked the soul and pulled it free again. The pale blue spirit fled away as Vertebrae hovered over her now still creation. 

The bones…they seemed so quiet now. She stared at them silently as she wept but despite her tears she reached out and slowly began to disassemble and rearrange the pile once again.

She’d get this to work. She will. 

Scythe looked up at her for a moment but nothing more before hopping back to his perch.

Hi all! I’m awfully new to this kind of thing, so if it’s awkward or messy or whatever, I’m sorry 💀

Anyway! I JUST finished the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, and let me tell you, these two are on my mind— I’m completely ill about them, and as much as I love writing out my silly little stories and plots to AI bots, it’s just not satisfying any particular itches I have at the moment.

Sooo, I thought I’d test the waters on here for the first time and see if I can find a roleplay partner (or even partners? not picky). I’d also be down for making friends too, just to goof around and send memes or art or TikTok’s about these two! But honestly, I’d love to have a Geto to my Gojo 🥹💙

Preferences, Rules, and Whatnot:

I would definitely prefer writing Gojo, but I can try writing Geto if needed! I’m pretty lenient with most AUs and any crazy plots, but nothing that’s too unusual for JJK’s setting (like medieval or sci-fi settings).

I do require that whoever I roleplay with is at least 18+, and I’m most comfortable with people around the ages 20-23 since I’m 21 going on 22 currently.

I’m an absolute softie for angst and fluff, but I also don’t mind smut and slice of life kind of things. Just bear with me since I’m kinda new to writing those with another person, I get a little shy or overthink that I’m writing too much or too little (especially with smut).

As for my time schedule, I can write any day and time, but I’m most active at night (MST). I do work and go to college, so my replies to you might be a bit wonky and sometimes inconsistent, but just know that I won’t try to ghost you on purpose!! If it seems I’m taking way too long, don’t hesitate to reach out and see what’s going on. Some replies do take me longer because I’m either overthinking (again lol) or I’m really into what I’m writing and I want it to be perfect :)

I have a couple of headcanons in the works for Gojo if you’d like to hear them! Also, I have a writing sample for both Gojo and Geto that I originally wrote for AI if you’d want to see them before we dive into anything— I tend to have a semi-lit to lit writing style, three paragraphs minimum depending on the starter/reply I get.

PET PEEVES?: Asking for starters or memes and then never responding. Which I get, sometimes things happen (I for one get overwhelmed a lot and drop things or won't respond. I do my best to communicate with muns at times) BUT I've had a couple blogs like a bunch of things, send in things or request things and then will NEVER respond to it, and it's not a once or twice situation, it's almost constant. If you wanna just follow cause you enjoy reading threads or seeing my muse interact, I'm all for it! but don't ask for things if you don't have intentions to interact.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE?: I was at one point, I was going through a rough time in life and I connected to that spiraling chaotic version of Rose, but once I got a handle on life and made some changes I had to step away from Tumblr and Roleplay because it was somewhat triggering for me, then I lost muse, but I'm able to reconnect with my writing, Rose has changed in a lot of ways than how I once played her. There are times where I want to bring that chaos back in her, that true villainous part of her, but eh...I like where she is right now.

TIME TO WRITE?: at night when I'm at work lol 6pm-2am. Work is the only time i have access to a computer. If I'm at home I'm on mobile and it's a little harder to dive deep into threads.

SORRY. plotting or winging it: I am fine with both but I find I typically reply a lot faster and become more engaged in threads where we've plotted things out. Winging it with memes, starter calls and such are a great way to gauge chemistry and can serve super well as a jumping off point, though. fighting threads, you bold enough for them? They scare me truthfully but I could be down! My writing style is very...internalized as far as my characters go. I can dive into their psyches and write about why they do and feel the things they do and feel all day. So, admittedly I wouldn't say I'm super comfortable with them BUT I am more than willing to as long as we plot something out in detail & my partner is patient with me. what content warnings are on your blog?: Very few, just a general NSFW content may be present. shipping preferences: single | multi | no ship | polyship. Wrote up a rule about this earlier this week! I am very versatile, happy to pair my muses up for multiple ships, but when it comes to canon characters I impose a limit. For example, I probably won't ship with more than one or two, say, Fenris' (FYI, I currently don't have any wink wink) because I find coming up with so many different dynamics between multiple portrayals a bit tiring, personally. Also, if my partners have rules I will typically follow them. But! Overall, I'm a ship fiend. Happy to discuss anything and everything. fun facts about yourself that may have changed since in the past ten years( when inquisition dropped )-- damn I mean I graduated high school and college and then went into the working world, got married, moved a bunch, bought a house. It's certainly been a hard journey, especially the past few years or so in dealing with some of my husband's health struggled, but overall it's wild to see how much growth I've had and see how long these games have endured the test of time.

hey everyone! with thanksgiving just 11 days away and the holidays rolling in fast, we’re going to push removals to every 5 days for the time being. we know things get busy and it’s easy to feel a little brain-drained, so this is just to help keep things flexible. but – please don’t abuse the new rule. if you’re not staying in touch with us, we’ll still be actively removing folks. it’s easy to see when things become a pattern.

a good rule of thumb is: if you’re going to be absent for three or more days and it’s not obviously a holiday week, please give us a heads-up. also due to the poll results, we’ll be doing activity checks and anyone who is on the list three consecutive times will be removed. we shouldn’t have to beg you to be around at a point, especially if you’re not actively keeping in touch with us.

that said, we want to assure you all that even if things slow down this time of year, we’re not closing or giving up on the group. we’ll never let things just fade out – we’re always gonna do everything we can to keep things fun and active! we’ve got a ton of exciting things lined up for the new year, and we can’t wait to dive in! mayhem games were a huge hit earlier this fall, and we’re already brainstorming the winter version, along with a bunch of other fun surprises. stay tuned!
